I spent an approximated total of 230 hours at Pacific Way Elementary school working toward my 100-hour requirement for the Bachelor of Education program at TRU. I split my time between 3 different classrooms and experienced a variety of grade levels. This was an excellent precursor into the world of education. The teachers at this school were welcoming and helped provide me with an unforgettable experience. After leaving when the school year was over, I received an unbelievable amount of support and experienced gratitude from a student’s parents thanking me for one-on-one reading with their child. I never realized how much of an impact my presence made to the students. I left the school feeling humbled and ready to begin my journey to becoming a teacher.
