During my practicum, I was excited to take advantage of creating much of my own lesson. I used a variety of teacher resources to find the best way to instruct my lessons and had fun creating my instructional anchor charts for the lessons. I found by having an engaging anchor chart the students were more focused on the instructions. One wish I have for my anchor charts is to write bigger to ensure that the students can utilize the instructions while at their desks and not just during carpet time. I found also that I needed to write larger on the whiteboard as well. These are all key points I’ve reflected on during my educational journey thus far and finding ways to better improve my instruction as there is always room to grow.
