My practicum partner and I were excited to find opportunities around the school when not in the classroom to be a part of the overall school community. I found this to be an exciting experience in that we got to create an area that provided students with a fun space to read and learn during the winter months. This was also a learning curve in that we could not depict Christmas as it is a religious holiday, therefore, when hanging up the pictures we ensured that the space stayed inclusive for all students. When our practicum students came into the library, they were excited that we were the ones that put the winter scene up for them to enjoy.
