This video highlights the influences in my life that guided me to follow my dream of teaching and learning. In elementary, and especially high school I struggled with academics, leading me to a career that I thought was the only thing I could accomplish. Changing my direction in life and pursuing an education and career that I never thought possible was one of the best decisions in my life. Where I am today, after years of dedication not only in the Culinary Arts Program, but also in the Bachelor of Arts, led me to the acceptance into the Bachelor of Education Program at TRU. Every journey made to get to this point influenced my outlook toward teaching and learning and the importance of following your heart. Looking back, I wouldn’t change any of my choices in that it led me to become a stronger individual and helped me to become the best version of myself, equipping me with life lessons to influence my teaching.
